Onyx Collective: Practising Unapologetics! is the debut publication by Onyx Collective, a collection of disabled creatives who have lived experience of racism.

It features members’ contributions – from potent poetics and smouldering song lyrics, to incandescent image-based work – and the collective’s manifesto, which heralds a reckoning for arts practice and beyond. The artists are: whatsthebigmistry, Ashokkumar Mistry, Miss Jacqui, Alexandrina Hemsley, Kuli Kohli, Ngozi Ugochukwu and Omikemi.

Nila Gupta, the eighth artist in the original collective, sadly passed away in 2021, but contributions from them are included in the publication.
